About Puck Cancer NJ
Puck Breast Cancer was founded by Thomas, Logan, and Snowden with a shared goal of using hockey as a platform to make a real difference in the fight against breast cancer. The idea began from personal experience, as each of the founders has been directly impacted by breast cancer through family members. Seeing firsthand how devastating a diagnosis can be for not just one person but an entire family motivated them to take action and find a meaningful way to give back. As lifelong hockey players, the founders wanted to combine their passion for the sport with a cause that mattered deeply to them. From that vision, Puck Breast Cancer was created as an all-star hockey event featuring top high school talent from across New Jersey. What started as a simple idea quickly grew into a full-scale event, requiring months of planning, player recruitment, sponsorship outreach, and coordination with arenas, businesses, and nonprofit partners.
The early stages were challenging, with limited resources, slow momentum, and many obstacles along the way. However, through persistence and community support, the event came together. Local businesses, sponsors, players, and families rallied behind the mission, helping turn Puck Breast Cancer into a successful and impactful event that drew nearly 200 fans and raised funds for breast cancer awareness and support. Today, Puck Breast Cancer represents more than just a hockey game. It is a community-driven initiative built on teamwork, resilience, and the belief that sports can be a powerful force for good. Thomas, Logan, and Snowden are committed to growing Puck Breast Cancer into an annual tradition that continues to support families affected by breast cancer and make a lasting impact for years to come.
